Because if its cone-shape, the Ménil seems to have grown up from earth like a volcano. Many myths exist concerning this mountain in the middle of Trièves, very different from the others.

From its mystery exist legends. One of them says that a gold goat would have been buried at the bottom of Ménil, when the crusaders "Templiers" came back from the wars of religion. Today, some are still digging!

A path permits to access the top with a walk of about 1h. Up there, you will have a wonderful panorama 360° on Trièves.
