Saint Michel les Portes is situated between Monestier de Clermont, Gresse en Vercors, and Chichilianne. Its area belongs to the Parc Natural Regional of Vercors.

At the bottom of Grand Veymont, we can see from the village a funny pointed rock standing behind the communal forest: this famous and amazing Mont Aiguille.


Just a stone's throw from Gresse en Vercors, winter sports pratiquable as well as a Adventure Park (accrobatic route in trees, biggest in France)
