Agricultural village with residential vocation, on the southernmost slope of the pass of Fau. Roissard keeps a very anchored agricultural tradition , with its furnaces, farming houses.
Il is also the cradle of typical cheeses of Trièves, with the cheese dairy of the Mont Aiguille: The “Brion” with the goat's milk, the “Trois pis” realized with 3 milks (goat, cow and ewe) and of course the “Trièves” with the milk of cow.
The Castel of Bardonenche dating back from the end of 17th is today arranged in apartments. The road is prolonged towards the suspended Bridge of Brion, rebuilt in 1951, on the Ebron: 126m high, 100m long.
