Saint Jean d' Hérans counts a dozen hamlets. The central hamlet gathers the principal activities of the village.

To discover around the village: the Bridge of Cognet built in 1605 by Lesdiguières at the bottom of the cliff of Drac at the place of an old Roman bridge; the Pont of Ponsonnas which spans Drac with 103 meters height and where the jump in rubber band is practised.
