Situated at the bottom of the Grand Ferrand, Tréminis is a village surrounded by mountains (Grand Ferrand, Ménil, Aup) and is composed of 4 hamlets: L'Eglise, Le Serre, Château Mea and Château Bas. Such as a stronghold, it can be reached by the road of Lalley, by circumventing Ménil in the east, or in the north by going through the pass of Mens. This winding and particularly narrow road is systematically a step of the Rally of Trièves. Tréminis is a very typical village. Dating back from the 9th century, its large houses covered of tiles in scales resting on "génoises" testifies to a past of traditions.
Starting point of many excursions, the village attracts nowadays more and more tourists.
